Oscar-winning actor Matthew McConaughey has teamed up with Aussie start-up Unyoked to design and build an exclusive off-grid cabin experience on the Central Coast of NSW, with a portion of bookings donated to the Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife.
For those unaware, McConaughey is the creative director for the bourbon brand Wild Turkey and has helped design the rustic cabin accordingly as part of Wild Turkey’s With Thanks campaign.
The partnership will help aid in the rehabilitation of native flora and fauna affected by the devastating Australian bushfires. Not only will all rental proceeds from the cabin be donated to the National Parks & Wildlife, $1 from every bottle of Wild Turkey Longreach will also be donated.
McConaughey fans will also be blessed with a special touch in the cabin from the actor himself. Guests can enjoy a smorgasbord of his favourite music, vintage literature and booze.
This is a great excuse for your next getaway, because not only will you be offsetting your carbon footprint while travelling to this completely solar powered, sustainably built cabin with no wi-fi, you’ll also be helping a great cause in doing so.
